Apart from its small size, vertical grille, and individual, detachable wings, the two most significant design features that make the T-Series of MG sports cars so captivating are its cut-out doors and double hatch. This is the car from which the entire T-Series line, including the immensely popular TC and TD, took its initial design inspiration. The J2’s proper factory name is “Midget” – clearly a reference to its small size. Today, the J2 is regarded by collectors and enthusiasts, as one of the most desirable of all pre-war Midget models.
